Description

The barns and stock houses located about 30 metres east of the main stable block at Tongswood Farm date from the late 19th century. They are constructed with a timber frame and are weather boarded on a red brick base, with extensions in red brick. The roof is plain tiled and features a three-bay central block with a triple gabled roof supported by brackets. The buildings have round arched openings, with the central opening bricked over on the ground floor, while the left opening has a glazed arch-head. To the right, there is a weather boarded gabled range with wooden casements and boarded doors, and to the left, a single-storey brick range with segmentally headed casements and a boarded door. These structures are part of the model farm complex at Tongswood Home Farm.
