Description

9 Stone Street is a house that has been converted into a shop. It dates back to the 16th century but was refronted in the early 19th century. The building features a timber frame with a front block made of painted brick. It has a moulded wooden eaves cornice and a plain tiled roof. The structure stands three storeys high and has a one-window front, with tripartite sash windows on the first and second floors. The ground floor has a shop front that includes a large fascia board above and an inset doorway. This property was part of the Rectorial property until 1791.
