Description
Habbins is a house that has been converted into a shop. It originated in the 16th century but was refronted in the early 18th century and altered in the 20th century. The building features painted brick and a plain tile roof. It is two storeys high with an attic and has a four-bay centre section that has an uneven setback at each end. There is a 20th-century door located in the right-hand set-back bay. The central four bays have a 20th-century shop front consisting of three plate-glass windows with narrow top panes, flanked by timber pilasters and topped with a fascia. On the first floor, there are four tall 18th-century eight-pane sash windows set under a rubbed arch with a raised key. Above these is a moulded cornice and a parapet with panels and wavy rubbed arches, finished with stone coping. The left-hand bay is blank and narrow.
