Description
12 Market Place is a house that has been converted into shop premises. It dates back to the 17th century but was remodeled in the early 19th century. The front is plastered and covers an earlier timber frame, with painted brick eaves and a clay tile roof that features four hipped dormers and a central brick chimney stack. The building has two storeys and an attic, with four windows that include sixteen-pane glazing bar sashes. The first-floor windows have segmental heads with plaster key blocks. There are two 20th-century bay windows on the center and right, framing a half-glazed door, and a former alleyway door to the left, also from the 20th century.
