Description
The Lion Hotel is a public house built in the early 19th century. It features a stucco exterior and a slate roof that is hipped to the left, topped with a moulded parapet on the right. The building has an L-shaped plan and stands three storeys tall, with a window arrangement of 1:4. The windows are glazing bar sashes with segmental heads, adorned with plaster key blocks that are decorated with grapes, vine leaves, and shells. There is a bow window on the left side, and four blocked window panels—two in the centre and two at the extreme right—on the first and second floors. The central entrance has a door topped with a semi-circular fanlight, and there is a similar blocked doorway at the extreme right.
