Description

Nos. 9 and 11 Stafford Street form a short terrace of two houses, with No. 9 currently used as an office. The houses have a core of 17th-century timber framing, which has been remodelled in the 18th century and altered in the 20th century. The exterior is largely brick, with a stucco finish that mimics the appearance of ashlar stone, and a clay tile roof with raised verges.

The building has an L-shaped plan. The two storeys are defined by a floor band, with coved plaster eaves and bracketed guttering. The front façade has six windows; these are a mixture of sash and casement windows, some with small panes of glass. A large three-light window is located to the left of the centre. The front door, on the right-hand side, is a six-panelled door within a fluted pilastered surround and a moulded entablature. A 20th-century glass-panelled door is to the left, and a boarded door is at the extreme left.
