Description

Two houses, numbers 52 and 53 Mount Ephraim, were built in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. Number 52 is slightly higher than number 53. Originally, the ground floors were painted brick, but number 52 has recently been covered in cement. The upper floors are clad in tile hanging. A cornice runs along the eaves. Each house has two sash windows with intact glazing bars. The doorcases are simple, with a weatherhood above each door. Numbers 52 to 55, along with the pavement area, form a notable group.
