Description

Aylesford Village Shop is an 18th-century house that was later used as a post office and is now a shop. The building was altered in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of red brick, painted to the front, with a tall parapet and a plain tiled roof. A side stack is located to the right. The house is three storeys high and has one bay. It features a 19th-century tripartite glazing bar sash window on the second floor, a 20th-century tripartite casement window on the first floor, and a 20th-century double shop front with a central half-glazed door on the ground floor. The building is included on the list for its group value.
