Description

Hengist Restaurant is a house that has been converted into a restaurant. It dates back to the 16th century, with a road-facing elevation added in the 19th century. The building features a timber frame with a front elevation made of painted brick and a stone-coped parapet. The roof is plain tiled and includes a flat-headed dormer located behind the parapet on the left side, as well as a central ridge stack. The structure has two storeys and three windows, which are glazing bar sashes set in segment-headed surrounds with open boxes. The ground floor windows are deeper and conceal earlier cross-windows behind them. There is an entrance located at the rear to the left.
