Description

Tree Cottage is a late 17th-century cottage situated on Yopps Green in Plaxtol. It is constructed of coursed rubble stone with galletting, featuring red brick dressings. The roof is covered in plain tiles, with tile-hanging in the gables, and includes two hipped dormers and a rear stack. The cottage is one storey with an attic, and has two casement windows on the ground floor, set within segment-head surrounds. One window is part-glazed and part-panelled. A central door, also part-glazed and part-panelled, has a modern wooden segment-hood supported by brackets. A rear extension is present to the left. The building is included on the heritage register for group value only.
