Description
Little Damas is a house dating from around 1500, originally a hall-house but now truncated. The ground floor on the south side is built with coursed galletted rubble and some red brick dressings. Above, the structure features close-studded timber framing with plaster infilling. The roof is plain tiled, with tile-hanging in the gables and a central hipped semi-dormer. There is an end stack to the left and a main stack off the ridge at the rear. The house has two storeys and an irregular facade with three windows, which contain wooden lattice casements. The main entrance is on the east side and features a modern boarded and ribbed door. There are modern additions to the rear, including a one-storey brick extension to the west with a pentice roof. Inside, there are remains of a crenellated crested dais beam and a 16th-century side fireplace with a chamfered bressumer.
