Description

Nos 1 and 2 Gore Street Cottages are a pair of cottages located on the south side of Gore Street in Monkton. They date from the 18th century and mid-19th century and are constructed of brown brick with a plain tiled roof. The central section features one storey and an attic, flanked by identical two-storey blocks on either end. Each end block has a chimney stack, and the central range includes two hipped dormers. The windows consist of one wooden casement on the left side, two wooden casements in the center, and one sash window on each floor to the right. There is a rib and stud door to the center left and a glazed door to the center right. The cottages are included for their group value.
