Description

Nos 1 and 2 Market Street are a pair of cottages dating from the 18th century. They are built of painted brick and feature a wooden eaves cornice beneath a plain tiled roof. The cottages have a ridge stack to the left of center and another stack at the right end. They are two storeys high with a three-window front. The original doors on the ground floor have been replaced with shallower windows, resulting in six windows on the ground floor, all of which are fitted with glazing bar sashes. The ground floor windows are set within segment-headed surrounds, while the entrances to the cottages are now located at the rear.
