Description

No. 6 Market Street is a cottage dating from the early 19th century. The ground floor is stuccoed and features shop windows with black mathematical tiles and red mathematical tile quoins. Above, there is a flat wooden eaves soffit beneath a plain tiled roof. The building is two storeys high and has a two-window front, with glazing bar sashes on the first floor set in recessed wooden surrounds. The ground floor has wide 19th-century shopfronts supported by tall slim colonnettes. A central panelled door is topped by a radiating fanlight.
