Description
Clanmire House is a house built in the 1840s, featuring a rendered exterior and a slate roof with Greek Revival details. The building stands three storeys tall with a rusticated base, giant pilasters, a cornice, a string course at the second floor, and a parapet at the roof, which has stacks at both the right and left ends. There are three sash windows on both the second and first floors, all with intact vertical glazing bars. The ground floor has two large sash windows, also with vertical glazing bars, set in well-moulded surrounds. The entrance features central double sunk panelled doors with a rectangular fanlight, framed by a wooden surround with fluted columns, double pilasters, and a cornice. Clanmire House is part of J.C. Eddel's development of Vale Square.
