Description

Eldon Place is part of an early 19th century terrace in Broadstairs. The building is four storeys high with a semi-basement, and is stuccoed with a stone coping to the parapet. It features two sash windows with intact glazing bars. A first-floor cast iron balcony has a frieze decorated with an anthemion motif. A curved bow fronts the ground floor and semi-basement accommodating a three-light window on the ground floor. The entrance has a simple round-headed doorcase, approached by a flight of stone steps with cast iron railings that incorporate a footscraper. Area railings are also present. Eldon Place, together with numbers 2 and 3, The Prospect, and number 9, The Parade, forms a notable group.
