Description

A pair of buildings dating from around 1830, located on Stone Road, Broadstairs. The buildings are four storeys high with a basement, constructed of brown brick, with the first floor rendered in painted brick and the ground floor and basement in rusticated stucco. A stone parapet tops the building, featuring a moulded eaves cornice. The windows are two-over-two sashes. The first floor has an anthemion motif balcony with a tent-shaped canopy. The ground floor and basement feature curved bays with three-light windows on the ground floor. A simple round-headed doorcase has a semi-circular fanlight, panelled reveals, and six fielded panelled doors. Stone steps and iron railings lead to the entrance, with area railings present at number 9. The side and rear elevations are faced with flint. Numbers 1 to 11 (odd) form a group.
