Description

This building, now the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, dates to circa 1830. It is a three-storey building with a basement, originally constructed of brown brick, although the ground floor, first floor, and basement are now stuccoed. A parapet with stone coping is present, along with a brick modillion cornice. Two sash windows with retained glazing bars are visible. A three-light curved bay, flanked by pilasters, rises from the basement to the first floor on the right-hand side. Stringcourses are positioned between the second and first floors, and between the ground and first floors. A simple round-headed doorcase provides the entrance, leading to a flight of stone steps rising from the street. The building forms a group with Nos. 1 to 11 (odd) on Stone Road.
