Description

Windsor Cinema, formerly known as York Gate Hall, was built around 1911 and was originally intended to be a museum for armor. The building is designed in the Neo-Georgian style and fits well with the surrounding older properties. It is a single-storey structure faced with flint. The front features a pediment with a modillion cornice and a round window. The roof is made of slate, and there are six pilasters. The central doorcase has a curved pediment, which is currently blocked, and there is a modern doorcase to the right side. The side elevation includes four sash windows and a pedimented doorcase. The rear elevation features a Venetian window.
