Description

74 London Road is a house dated 1775, located on the south side of London Road in Lynsted. It is built of red brick with a plain tiled roof. The entrance front features two storeys and a brick dentil cornice beneath a hipped roof, which has a central stack and one hipped dormer. The windows are regularly arranged, with two glazing bar sashes in moulded frames on each floor, and gauged heads on the ground floor. The central door, from the 20th century, has six raised and fielded panels within a moulded architrave, and above it is a gauged semi-circular niche that bears the inscription: T.A M.A J.A 1775.
