Description
Cock Farm House is a house dated 1776, constructed of red brick with a plain tile roof. It has two storeys, an attic, and a basement, which are highlighted by a plinth and a brick modillion eaves cornice that supports a gabled roof. The house features three hipped dormers and end stacks on the left and right. The windows are regularly arranged, with three glazing bar sash windows on the first floor and two glazing bar sashes on the ground floor, all set in keyed gauged basket-arch openings. The central entrance has a six-panelled door, with the top two panels now glazed, framed by a moulded wood surround that includes a fluted frieze and a flat hood supported by brackets. To the right, there is a segment-headed opening leading to the basement. Above the door, a datestone marked M / G B / 1776 is set in a gauged niche.
