Description
Keeper's Cottage is a house dating from the 16th century, with 18th-century cladding. It is timber framed and covered with tarred brick, while the right side is weatherboarded. The roof is plain tiled. The building features a two-bay lobby entry plan that is extended by an outshot bay on the left. It stands two storeys high on a plinth, with a hipped roof and gablets, and has stacks located to the centre right and projecting at the end right.
On the first floor, there are three wooden casements, while the ground floor has two segmental heads with one wooden casement in the catslide outshot to the left. A boarded door is situated to the centre right. The right return of the cottage overhangs behind the brick front wall, which may indicate an original jetty. There is also a catslide outshot to the rear. Inside, a framed wall between the main range and the outshot is visible.
