Description
Blackbush is a house dating from the 16th century, with later cladding from the 18th century. It features a timber frame that is clad with red brick on the ground floor, ornamental tile hanging on the first floor, weather-boarding on the right return, and plain tile hanging on the left return. The building has two storeys and a garret, set on a sandstone plinth, with a half-hipped roof that has a large gablet on the left side and a cluster of stacks to the centre left. On the first floor, there are two three-light casements and a small central leaded wooden casement. The ground floor has three 20th-century wooden casements. A central 20th-century hipped porch with a casement and panelled door is located on the right return. At the rear, there is a catslide outshot.
