Description

Grove Cottage is a house dating from the 16th century, with an 18th-century cladding. It features a timber frame that is covered with painted brick and has a plain tiled roof. The building has a three-bay lobby entry plan with a cross-wing. It stands two storeys high on a plinth, with a projecting hipped wing to the left and a stack positioned to the centre left. On the first floor, there is one wooden casement window on the wing and two on the main range. The ground floor has one segmental-headed three-light wooden casement window on each wing, along with a boarded door to the centre left and a blocked doorway to the left, both featuring segmental heads. The interior reveals the visible frame.
