Description
Denne Manor is a house dating from the mid-17th century, with 18th-century windows. It features painted English bond brick and a plain tile roof. The building has two storeys and a garret above a basement, which is expressed externally with a plinth, a moulded string course, and a modillion eaves cornice. The roof has shaped gables and offset projecting end stacks with coupled chimneys. The windows are regularly arranged, with three glazing bar sashes on the first floor and four on the ground floor, complemented by a central six fielded panelled door set in a panelled porch with Ionic pilasters and a triangular pediment. A return wing is clad in 18th-century red brick and may have a 16th-century timber frame. Inside, the upper parts of the stairs feature a solid balustrade, and there is a clasped purlin roof along with fine beam moulding from the mid to late 17th century.
