Description

55 and 55A East Street is an 18th-century cottage that stands two storeys high and features one window. The exterior is made of painted brick and is adorned with a dentilled eaves cornice and a tiled roof. Both floors have small bay windows with intact glazing bars. The doorway is notable for its pilasters, projecting cornice, low rectangular fanlight, and a six-panel door, where the top two panels are cut away and glazed, while the center two panels are fielded. The east side of the building is weather-boarded.
