Description

The buildings at 25-27 Tanners Street date from the early to mid-19th century. They are two storeys high, with each property originally featuring one window bay and one door. A single-storey, lean-to extension is present at the southern end of number 27. The roofs are slate covered, with three hips above the eaves facing the street. Number 25 has a stuccoed exterior, number 26 is built of yellow stock brick, and number 27 is of red brick. The windows are 5 panes wide. Number 26 features a window with a segmental head on the ground floor. All properties have flush-panelled doors set within architrave frames, plain friezes, and moulded, stuccoed cornices over the doors. Numbers 21 and 22, numbers 25 to 27, and numbers 37 to 42 form a group of buildings with group value.
