Description

The buildings at 51 and 52 Mill Street, Bridgnorth, consist of a late 18th-century structure with a probable 17th-century core. Number 51 is built of red brick, with remnants of defaced stucco visible, while number 52 has a roughcast exterior. Both buildings are three storeys high. Number 51 originally had three sash windows with simple architraves. It once featured a moulded wooden doorcase with a canopy supported by voluted brackets. A later moulded wooden doorcase is now on the right-hand side. The buildings have brick eaves and slate roofing. A modern shop front is present on the left-hand side of number 51. Numbers 51 to 57 Mill Street are grouped together as a cohesive architectural entity.
