Description
No 48 on Mill Street in Bridgnorth is a building dating from around 1675. It features a colourwashed roughcast exterior with stone dressings. The structure has three storeys and includes three sash windows with broad frames and heavy moulded architraves. There are also casement windows on the third storey, some of which retain their original leaded panes. The building is topped with a heavy wood modillion eaves cornice and a square hipped roof covered with old tiles. Additional architectural details include quoins, stringcourses, and a moulded wood cornice hood doorcase supported by massive enriched consoles, although the hood itself is modern and unmoulded.
