Description
Yew Tree Cottage is a house dating from the 16th century, which was refaced in the 18th century. It features a timber frame with exposed 18th-century framing and plaster infill set on a red brick base. The cottage has a shingled roof and is designed as a four-bay hall house. It stands two storeys high on a brick plinth, with stacks located at the right end and projecting from the left end. The first floor has three metal casements, while the ground floor has two wooden casements and a 20th-century ribbed door set in a weatherboarded and gabled porch. At the rear, there is a half-hipped wing made of painted brick with a plain tiled roof; this wing is one storey high with an attic that includes a hipped dormer. The interior reportedly features a crown post roof.
