Description
Ivy Cottage is a house dating from the 16th century. It has a timber frame that is exposed, with plaster infill resting on a red brick base. The cottage features a thatched roof and is one storey high with an attic. The roof is half-hipped and includes one raking dormer, with stacks located to the left and at the end on the right. The windows are arranged irregularly, consisting of two leaded and shuttered wooden casements, along with a blocked mullioned window positioned to the centre right. There is a wooden casement in a slightly projecting end bay. To the left, there is a rib and stud door set in a trellised porch. A 20th-century wrought iron plaque displaying the name and the date 1540 is located to the left of the door.
