Description

No. 16 East Street is a timber-framed building that was refronted in the 18th century but still retains the overhang of its first floor supported by a bressumer. The building has two storeys and an attic, featuring two windows and two dormers. There is also a former loft door with a hoist. The exterior is stuccoed with a parapet and a tiled roof. One sash window with intact glazing bars remains, while the other windows have been modernized. This property is part of a group that includes Nos. 15 to 19 and Cooksditch.
