Description

The Hall is an 18th-century house located on the west side of Station Road in Halstead. Originally built as a two-storey structure with three windows, it features a two-bay right extension that matches the original style. The house has a fairly high-pitched, hipped roof covered with tiles and red brick walls topped with a parapet. It includes three-light sash windows with glazing bars set in box frames, except for the original first-floor center window above the door, which is a single-light window. The right extension is faced with mathematical tiles, although some areas have been repaired with plain tiles. The entrance door consists of six panels and is topped with a cornice head and a patterned fanlight, set within a panelled reveal that has a round head. Attached columns support a side entablature featuring a mutule cornice and an open pediment above, which also has mutules.
