Description
Garden Cottage is a head gardener's cottage built around 1775 and altered in the mid-19th century. The structure features part red brick in English bond, while the southeast front is faced with mathematical tiles. It has a hipped tiled roof with a brick chimneystack. The building is L-shaped and has two storeys, with three windows on the southeast and southwest fronts. The southeast front includes three sash windows with vertical glazing bars, horns, and moulded architraves. There is a central late 18th-century six fielded panelled door with a rectangular fanlight above it. A late 19th-century gabled wooden porch with seats is also present. The northwest and southwest fronts have 12-paned sashes, and the north front features a late 18th-century six flush panelled door.
