Description
The Apple Store, located to the south of the Walled Garden, is a late 19th-century timber-framed building. It features three tiers of square panels filled with thatch, which is supported by a red brick base covered with wire mesh. The thatched roof has wide eaves and the building is aligned in a north-south direction. On the east and west sides, there are two six-paned windows with shutters, and each end of the building has a six-panelled door. Inside, the store contains wooden storage racks, with four layers in the center and five on each side. This building is considered an extremely rare type.
