Description

The well head, dating from around 1775, is located in the center of the walled garden at Chevening. It features a circular wall constructed in stock brick with a header bond, standing approximately 3 feet high above ground level. The well head is topped with a three-sided iron overthrow that includes an iron pulley and a wooden cover.
