Description

No. 9 Chevening Road is a mid-19th century cottage located on the west side of Chevening Road. The building stands two storeys high and features three windows. It has a fairly high-pitched tiled roof, with a projecting gabled section on the right and an overhanging tiled first floor. On the left side of the first floor, there are two half-dormer windows that break the eaves. The walls are made of red brick, decorated with a pattern of blue headers, and there is some random rubble walling on the ground floor to the left, which may be part of an older structure. The left side also displays some exposed timber framing with plaster filling, dating from the 19th century. The cottage has 19th-century casement windows with bars and a half-glazed door that is sheltered by a pent tiled hood.

Nos. 1 to 12 Chevening Road, along with the garden wall to Nos. 10 to 12 and Lennard Lodge, form a group.
