Description
No 1 Chevening Road is a cottage, likely dating from the 17th century, with some alterations. It is two storeys high and has two windows. The cottage features a high-pitched tiled roof and a large end chimney, which has been rebuilt at the top with offsets. The chimney on the east side has tiled, gabled steps. The first floor is tile hung, while the ground floor is made of rebuilt brick. There are two modern square-paned casement windows and a plank door located under a pent tiled hood supported by brackets. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 12 Chevening Road, the garden wall to Nos 10 to 12, and Lennard Lodge.
