Description
No. 12, The Green is an 18th-century front to an older house, situated on the north side of the Green in Westerham. It is two storeys and has an attic, with two windows. The house has a high-pitched tiled roof with a hipped gabled dormer, eaves, and bracketed guttering. The ground floor is stuccoed up to the first-floor sill band, with painted brick above. The first floor has sash windows with glazing bars in moulded wooden frames. A canted bay shop window is present on the ground floor, featuring architrave moulding and a lead roof, with replaced sash windows containing glazing bars. To the right of the shop window, three steps lead to a door consisting of six fielded panels, a rectangular fanlight over, and a flat hood supported by fluted pilasters. The building is part of a group that includes numbers 9 to 14 (inclusive) and No. 15, Church Gate House, along with associated walls and a yard.
