Description

No. 11, The Green is an 18th-century front to what is likely an older house. It is a two-story building with an attic, featuring two windows. The roof is steeply pitched and tiled, with two hipped and gabled dormers. The first floor is painted brick with a horizontal band. The lower portion of the building is stuccoed and includes a plinth. The first-floor windows are of a traditional design. On the ground floor, the right-hand side features a 19th-century shop window with elliptical heads to the lights, and an altered door within a wooden frame, accented by a console bracketed cornice. To the left is a four-panel door, the upper two panels glazed, topped by a plain rectangular fanlight protected by a bracketed hood. There are three steps leading up to both doors. The building is part of a group value with numbers 9 to 14 (inclusive) and number 15 (Church Gate House), alongside associated walls and a yard.
