Description

The Old Farmhouse is a two-thirds section of a 15th-century timber-framed building, with the southeast end having been demolished. The first floor features plaster infilling, while the ground floor has been rebuilt in red brick. The first floor of the northwest end extends outward, supported by the protruding ends of the floor joists and a carved bressumer. The eaves to the right, which were originally part of the central section, also extend outward on brackets. The first floor of the demolished section would have matched the oversailing of the northwest end. The building has a tiled roof with a pentice at the back, casement windows, and stands two storeys high with three windows. A red brick chimney breast on the northwest wall is laid in English Bond.
