Description

Lashenden is a 15th-century timber-framed building with plaster infilling. The ground floor features close-studded construction, while the first floor overhangs on the protruding ends of the floor joists, supported by a bressumer with brackets and curved braces. A gable, incorporating an attic window and a pendant, is located at the south-east end. The roof is tiled and hipped. Casement windows have diamond-shaped leaded panes. Two oriel windows, each with five lights and wooden mullions, are positioned on the first floor, alongside a bay of two tiers containing seven lights on the ground floor. The south-west and south-east fronts have been refaced with red brick on the ground floor, with tile hanging above.
