Description

The Barton is a restored 15th-century timber-framed building. It has close-studded timbering with plaster infilling. The first floor projects outwards, supported by a moulded bressumer. The ends of the floor joists and brackets are visible on the south and west fronts. The roof is steeply pitched and tiled. The building has two floors and three windows above a two-window arrangement on the ground floor. The ground floor windows are casements with glazing bars. A door is set within a penticed porch.
