Description
Tudor Cottage and Court Cottage, originally one house but now divided, is an early 17th century timber-framed building located on Old Palace Road in Bekesbourne. The south front features plaster infilling, with the first floor extending over the ends of the floor joists, supported by curved braces that are hidden beneath a tiled canopy. The building has a steeply-pitched hipped tiled roof, with a 17th century brick chimneystack on the south front. It is two storeys high and has two windows. The east front is faced with red brick and includes a large brick chimneystack with tumbling-in at the center. There is one window to the north of the chimneystack and two blocked window spaces to the south. Additionally, the north side features a shaped Dutch gable end with an "ox-eye" recess.
