Description

The building at 26 and 26A High Street dates to circa 1820. It is a two-storey building with painted weatherboard cladding, projecting boarded eaves, and a hip tile roof. The ground floor features a corner shop front with vertical bars. Various sash windows with glazing bars are present throughout, with some having bracketed hoods above. The first floor has sash windows with exposed moulded frames and glazing bars, with three of these windows also having bracketed hoods. Casement windows are found on the second floor. The building forms a group with No 7 and St Etheldreda’s, Park Lane.
