Description

York House is an 18th-century building located on the north side of High Street in Seal. It is constructed of painted brick and stands two storeys tall. The building features a moulded eaves and gutter, with a hip tiled roof. The symmetrical front elevation includes a modern glazed shop front on the ground floor and three square-paned casements on the first floor, with a projecting octagonal bay in the center. There are also two hip tiled dormers, each with square-paned casements. The roof is finished with lead flashing and ridges. York House, along with Old Seal House and Nos 37, 41 to 45 (odd), forms a group.
