Description

Nos 42 and 44 High Street are 16th century timber-framed houses that were re-fronted around 1900. They are two storeys tall and have three windows in total. The houses feature high-pitched tiled roofs, and the first floor overhangs on exposed joists, displaying imitation half-timbering with rough-cast filling. The ground floor is made of brick, and there are 19th century casement windows and four-panel doors. Nos 36 to 44 (even) are part of a group.
