Description
This listing describes a ha-ha located in the grounds of Vinters, situated approximately 150 yards southwest of TVS Studios. Dating from the 18th century, the ha-ha is constructed from small oblong blocks of coursed, evenly-cut stone. It stands about 5 feet high and is currently un-coped. The top of the ditch is around 12 feet from the top of the wall. The structure extends west from the northeast corner for about 23 yards, forming the northern end of an enclosed area, with two curves creating bastions—one at the west end, beyond which the ground slopes steeply into the valley, and another towards the northeast corner. The wall continues south from the northeast corner for approximately 106 yards until it reaches a point of collapse. This ha-ha was part of a larger structure that once encircled Vinters.
