Description
TQ 75 NE BOXLEY NEW CUT ROAD (west side)
5/75 Ha-ha in grounds of Vinters. Circa 1½ yards south of section 3½ yards south of stretch 150 yards from TVS Studios. II
Ha-ha. C18. Coursed, squarely cut, nearly ashlared blocks of stone with some moulded coping. Different in character from 2 stretches above. Stands to height of about 5 feet with top of ditch about 12 feet from top of wall. Forms south pier of gateway, from which it runs south for about one yard without ditch. Main part of wall with ditch turns corner and runs east for about 35 yards from south gate-pier. Appears to be ramped in 3 or 4 sections, rising to east, and terminates at possible site of another gate. Part of Ha-ha which once encircled Vinters. See also Serial Nos.5/73-5/74 and5/76-79
