Description
The former granary, located about 15 metres north of Chart Place Cottages, dates back to the early 18th century. It is constructed from chequered red and grey brick and features a plain tile roof. The building stands two storeys high and has a plain wooden eaves band along the top. The shaped gables add to its architectural interest. On the west gable end, there are two fixed six-pane windows with segmental heads on each floor. The first floor has a boarded door with a segmental head and sockets for joists from a removed platform just below it. There is also a boarded ground floor door with a segmental head. The north side of the granary has no openings. The interior has not been inspected. This structure forms the north side of an open courtyard and is related to other nearby listed items.
